1. Who We Are
MarriageSignals is operated by
HD Signals LLC, a Texas limited liability company. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at
[email protected].
2. Information We Collect
- Account information — email address and password when you sign up.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers. We receive subscription status and billing email.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, session timestamps. Collected via PostHog analytics.
- Deal notes and reminders — any property notes or follow-up reminders you create are stored in our database.
- Communications — if you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the MarriageSignals platform.
- To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe.
- To send transactional emails — subscription confirmations, deal reminders you set, and weekly data digests.
- To analyze product usage and improve features (PostHog, anonymized).
- To respond to support requests and communications.
4. Data Sources
MarriageSignals aggregates publicly available real estate data from Austin Open Data, Travis Central Appraisal District (TCAD), Travis County public records, and similar government sources. This data relates to properties, not to our users. We do not sell or share user data with these sources.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following third parties as necessary to operate the service:
- Supabase — database and authentication provider.
- Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- PostHog — product analytics (anonymized usage data).
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.
7. Cookies and Tracking
MarriageSignals uses cookies and local storage for session management and authentication. We also use PostHog, which may set analytics cookies to track usage patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser, though this may affect your ability to use the platform.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].
9. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords via Supabase Auth, and access controls limiting who can view user data. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
10. Children's Privacy
MarriageSignals is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of MarriageSignals after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
